Tips and ideas for craft show displays. This blog post is a sub topic to our main blog post on Craft Fair Tips And Tricks. So, what sort of trade show displays should you use?. It depends on what you are selling, thus, if you are selling small goods (jewellery for example) or large goods (frames, paintings etc). For large items, it is usually best to go with wood craft show display shelves. In general, wood shelves are usually large, hence, easy to make (diy craft show displays).
See the following links if you want to find out more about craft fairs, and get some good tips and advice.
Craft fair display racks (for small items)
In terms of craft show displays, the rack you use makes all the difference. For small items, it is usually best to go with small step racks, finger boards, boards with hanging hooks, peg boards and small boxes. For displaying small items, position your display stands/racks left and right on the table, with a space in between, thus, you can use the middle space for business cards or product folders.
Craft fair display racks (for LARGE items)
For large items, it is best to go with display steps, timber racks and large boxes. It is very important to make sure that whatever you choose, it is strong and steady, to avoid any accidents. If possible, position your racks/shelves left and right, with space in the middle for other stuff. However, this is not always possible when using large products. Alternatively, you can put the large items from the middle, to the side of the craft table. Thus, you can put stationary or product folders on one side of the table.
Craft show table display ideas (craft show displays)
In terms of craft fair table layout, make sure you have all your products standing up, like on a step system, so that they can all be seen. For general advice on craft fair tables, see our blog post on Craft Fair Tables. It is crucial to get your craft show booth layout correct. Before the craft show, set up your table outdoors (if possible) and walk far away from it. Look back and see if you can see all the products you could see while standing beside it. If you cannot see all your products, your product shelves/racks need to be higher, or positioned differently. See the following photos for some good creative display ideas.
